Rumor: Samsung to release Galaxy Note 8 at MWC

The rumor mill continues to churn out information on soon to be released products today. SamMobile, who has a very good track record with Samsung related rumors, claims they have ?confirmed? a complete spec list for the unannounced Galaxy Note 8 set to be released at Mobile World Congress.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 8 will feature an 8-inch 1280?800 LCD display, 5 and 1.3-megapixel cameras, 2GB of RAM, up to 32GB of internal storage with SD expansion, a 4600mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.2. With an 8-inch display, the Galaxy Note 8 will be just a hair bigger than the Nexus 7 at 211.3?136.3?7.95mm, however, it will be slightly lighter. The Galaxy Note 8 is also rumored to launch in both WiFi only and 3G capable variants. No word on LTE connectivity.

Samsung already offers a tablet that competes in the mid-range category, with the Galaxy Tab 7.7, but the Tab series has yet to see the kind of success the Note and Note II have. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has been a bit of a miss, but the Note 8 could be just what Samsung needs to revitalize the tablet branch of the Note family.

We?ll be keeping an eye out for more on the Galaxy Note 8 as Mobile World Congress gets closer.
