Friendly ladies with long gams and ready welcome greetings, slot machines, and players at their tables placing their bets are what will welcome you the moment you enter the doors of the newest entertainment hub in the country, Solaire Resorts and Casino.
Inspired by the sun and its neighbor the Manila Bay, (as it is conveniently located in Aseana Avenue, near the DFA), Solaire is a French term for the morning sun. ?The sun somehow is part of the inspiration of this property, it is always a positive power, and there are many positive things to associate our name with the sun,? shares Adrian Ort, Solaire?s Vice President Operations and General Manager.
The 8.3 hectare-property has about 500 hundred rooms, f50 of which are suites and four are exclusive bayside villas. However, it offers more than a place to stay for the night. ?It is more of the ambiance of the whole, area, our target is more on leisure,? explains Joy Wassmer, Director of Communications and Public Relations.
In fact, Wassmer elaborates that Solaire is not a usual resort, ?It?s an integrated resort where you have different types of entertainment. ?Having a casino and a gaming area is partly entertainment,? she reveals, hinting that even before the place opens, there should be more that the public should expect.
By next year, Solaire hopes to open another part of its resort where visitors can shop, watch plays, and many more. Expect a theater with a 1,600 seating capacity to bring in international touring shows as well as present local productions. There will also be a 60,000 square-feet retail area featuring various international and local outlets.
?When you look around, you will agree with me that there is nothing like it in the Philippines.? So, we believe that we are the first to provide a world class resort in the country,? Ort says.?Solaire, doors open today, ?March 16, at 3 p.m.
